The Los Angeles Angels have traded Ian Kinsler to the Boston Red Sox.

The Red Sox expect Kinsler to be their regular second baseman with Dustin Pedroia sidelined indefinitely.

Los Angeles will receive two Triple-A relievers, right-hander Ty Buttrey and left-hander Williams Jerez, in the deal.

According to multiple reports, the Angels are also sending the Red Sox $1.8 million of the remaining $3.6 million on Kinsler's deal.

The Atlanta Braves have acquired Adam Duvall from the Cincinnati Reds for a trio of players.

The Reds will receive right-handers Lucas Sims and Matt Wisler and outfielder Preston Tucker. All three players played at the Major League level this season, but were with Triple-A Gwinnett at the time of the trade.

The Pittsburgh Pirates have acquired reliever Keone Kela from the Texas Rangers for two players to be named later.

One player will be named Tuesday to allow the Pirates time to notify him of the deal, and the other will be named later in the season.

"It was a challenging trade," Jon Daniels said. "Keone has been awesome the last couple years, a dominant closer for us. Ultimately felt, where we are, it made sense to consider these kind of deals where we can get multiple players."

Kela has 24 saves and a 3.44 ERA this season.

The New York Yankees have bolstered their starting pitching, trading for Toronto Blue Jays left-hander J.A. Happ, the team announced Thursday.

Infielder Brandon Drury has been traded to Toronto along with Triple-A outfielder Billy McKinney.

The Arizona Diamondbacks have acquired Matt Andriese in a trade with the Tampa Bay Rays.

The Rays received minor league catcher Michael Perez and right-handed pitcher Brian Shaffer in the deal.

Arizona trails the Los Angeles Dodgers by just a half-game in the National League West through Wednesday.

Andriese has a 4.07 ERA in 59⅔ innings this season.

The New York Yankees have acquired former All-Star reliever Zach Britton from the Baltimore Orioles for three minor league pitchers in a trade announced Tuesday night.

The deal sends right-handed starter Dillon Tate, left-handed starter Josh Rogers and righty reliever Cody Carroll to Baltimore.

The Kansas City Royals traded for Washington Nationals center fielder Brian Goodwin on Sunday, the teams announced.

In return, the Nationals received minor league right-hander Jacob Condra-Bogan.

The Texas Rangers have traded Jesse Chavez to the Chicago Cubs in exchange for Minor Leaguer Tyler Thomas.

Chavez, 34, owns a lifetime 4.61 ERA, but he has posted a 3.51 mark along with a career-best 4.2 K/BB ratio across 56 1/3 innings in 2018.

He has started 68 times in his past 192 appearances.

The Cleveland Indians bolstered their struggling bullpen on Thursday with the acquisition of San Diego Padres closer Brad Hand.

The Padres also sent reliever Adam Cimber to Cleveland and received highly touted catching prospect Francisco Mejia.
